Giromed Institute joins the initiative in hospitals and technology centers in search of 3D printing solutions that allow the eradication of the pandemic by Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. By designing, developing and manufacturing the adapter/part for the fans.

 

This solution allows patients with Respiratory Insufficiency Secondary to VOCID-19 pneumonia to ventilate correctly, and at the same time reduce the risk of infection for healthcare personnel.

 

As explained to us by Drs Josep Morera and Juan Roldán the parts have been clinically validated and the technical design parameters, material requirements and printing parameters are made available in the 3D community, through the platform led by the I3PY Research and Innovation Institute of the Parc Taulí Hospital.
